History:
From a modest beginning
in 1972, we at Oswal have traveled far. The one-room marble handicraft
showroom in Agra has today become a multi-faceted Oswal International
with bases at Agra, Khajuraho and Orchha.
The beginning of Oswal Emporium has its roots in the recognition of the
inherent talent of the skilled artisans of the city that was the bastion
of Mughal glory. Late Kunwar Lal Jain took the novel step of bringing
to life the art of inlay work, which had been lamenting for lack of patronage. |

The
firm establishment of the Oswal family on the map of marble inlay work,
however, owes much to Mr Ashok Jain. The platform which his father had
built was further strengthened and the one-room showroom grew into an
emporium which is today the largest of its kind in Asia. All this, of
course, would not have been possible without the toils of the many skilled
craftsmen who put to use their knowledge of this traditional handcraftsmanship
to churn out products of amazing brilliance. |
